Anna Hickey is the Executive Director of Life Transitions. She is a fully licensed professional counselor with a post-Master’s education in mental health. She has a diverse professional background working with individuals, couples, and families with a wide range of presenting problems. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, and relationship issues, including intimate and family conflict. Anna provides counseling to individuals, families and couples. She enjoys working with adults and adolescents 16 years and older. In addition, Anna has combined her counseling skills with her training in divorce mediation to offer Divorce Mediation services as an alternative to litigated marriage dissolution.

Colleen Lambert, MA, LPC, NCC

Colleen Lambert is a fully licensed counselor who earned degrees in Counseling from both Oakland University and Rochester College. Working for years in the Hospice and Palliative Care division of Henry Ford Health Systems; Colleen has counseled individuals and families facing grief, chronic illness and trauma associated with sudden loss.
Additionally, Colleen currently provides bereavement support for individuals and families who have experienced loss within the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital System. She is an active member of The National Foundation for Grieving Children, NODA (No One Dies Alone) program and has educational affiliation with TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program), providing assistance for military members and their families.
Colleen has experience counseling individuals facing depression, chronic illness, anxiety, family and marital conflict and life transitions. She has advanced post graduate education including The Gottman Method for couples, grief and loss, palliative care, trauma, anxiety and depression. As a counselor, Colleen brings warmth and a calming presence; providing clients with compassion and empathy. Her approach is eclectic; tailored to each individual, and uses strategies, techniques and tools that best fit the needs and preferences of each client. Briana Ramirez, LMSW

Briana Ramirez is a licensed Masters Social Worker, who earned her degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Briana has a professional background in trauma recovery and adjustment to life difficulties. She has experience in supporting parents to learn effective strategies to address children’s difficult behaviors. In addition, she helps children in regulating their own emotions. Briana provides bilingual (English and Spanish) therapy services for individuals, families, and couples. She has experience in providing services for refugees and immigrants who are transitioning to the USA. Briana provides a client-centered approach, creating an individualized treatment plan to meet the unique needs of the client. With children and youth, she uses creative interventions through the use of art, sensory activities, and play therapy, to engage her clients beyond talk therapy. Briana specializes in working with children ages 4 and older, and teens; however she also enjoys working with adults.

Sandra Flury, MS, LMSW

Sandra Flury is a licensed Master Social Worker, who earned her degree from the University of Michigan School of Social Work. Sandra has a professional background in trauma informed care. She has experience assisting people develop effective strategies to address and heal from traumatic events. Sandra uses a strengths-based approach to assist teens, adults, and families to discover meaningful solutions. She has experience in providing services for sexual assault/abuse survivors. Sandra provides a client-centered approach, creating an individualized treatment plan to meet the unique needs of the client. Sandra specializes in working with clients ages 12 through adulthood. Sandra also holds a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice and is a Certified Yoga Instructor RYT-200 and believes clients benefit from a holistic approach to therapy.

Ashley Vallone, LLMSW, QMHP

Ashley Vallone is a limited license master social worker who earned her degree in Social Work from Oakland University. Ashley’s background started at Oakland County Children’s Village guiding at-risk youth through court ordered programs. After time at Children’s Village, she began working with EastersealsMORC in a community mental health setting. Here she works with patients diagnosed with psychotic disorders, personality disorders, mood disorders, and other mental health diagnoses.
She has experience providing therapy services to adolescents, adults, families and couples. Ashley supports clients through their treatment planning process and provides feedback and guidance to help clients feel more empowered through their therapy journey. Ashley has training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused strategies. By teaching DBT skills, she enjoys helping individuals learn mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation skills. Mercedes Gough, MA, LLMSW

Mercedes Gough is a limited licensed master social worker who earned her degree in Social Work from Wayne State University. Mercedes began her career in a psychiatric hospital setting where she developed individual treatment plans and facilitated group therapy for patients who were diagnosed with mood disorders, adjustment disorders and psychotic disorders. After some time, Mercedes began working within a community mental health setting where she worked with infants, young children, teens diagnosed with social-emotional disorders, and their families.
She is experienced in providing cognitive behavioral therapy interventions, play therapy, behavioral therapies, and attachment therapy. Mercedes brings creativity, empathetic listening, validation, empowerment and collaborative problem-solving.

Margaret Fiorvento is an intern in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling Master’s program through Capella University. Margaret is committed to providing empathetic care that honors the complexity of each individual’s life experience. Margarets counseling approach integrates person-centered and solutions-focused therapy, emphasizing the connection between mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
Margaret is a first-generation American bringing cultural sensitivity and awareness to her work. She is fluent in English and Macedonian, understanding the unique challenges individuals face when seeking help across diverse cultural backgrounds.
